Terms and Conditions for Bomiyo Bakery

Last Updated: February 20, 2026

Jurisdiction: Lagos State, Nigeria

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your relationship with Bomiyo Bakery (“the Bakery”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) and apply to all visitors, users, and customers who access our website and purchase our products.

1. Scope of Service & Geographic Limitation

Bomiyo Bakery specializes in artisanal bread production and delivery.

  • The “Mainland Only” Rule: Our delivery services are strictly limited to the Lagos Mainland. This includes, but is not limited to: Yaba, Surulere, Ikeja, Magodo, Maryland, Gbagada, Agege, and Festac.
  • Excluded Zones: We do not deliver to Lagos Island (Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki, Ajah), or peripheral areas such as Ikorodu or Epe, unless otherwise stated for bulk corporate orders.
  • Order Rejection: We reserve the right to cancel any order originating from an address outside our delivery zone.

2. Product Standards & Food Safety

  • Freshness: We guarantee that bread leaves our bakery in peak condition.
  • Ingredients & Allergens: Our bread contains gluten (wheat). While we maintain high hygiene standards, our facility may process dairy, eggs, and seeds. It is the customer’s responsibility to review ingredients if they have severe allergies.
  • Handmade Variations: Since our bread is artisanal, slight variations in shape, color, and crust texture are normal and do not constitute a product defect.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Currency: All prices are listed in Nigerian Naira (₦).
  • Price Changes: Bomiyo Bakery reserves the right to adjust prices at any time due to the fluctuating cost of raw materials (flour, sugar, fuel) without prior notice. However, the price at the time of your order is final.
  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via our secure third-party processors (e.g., Paystack/Flutterwave) or direct bank transfers. Orders are only confirmed once payment is verified.

4. Delivery Logistics & “The Lagos Factor”

  • Accuracy of Information: You must provide a precise address and a reachable Nigerian phone number. We highly recommend providing a Landmark or a Google Maps Plus Code.
  • Delivery Windows: While we offer estimated delivery times, these are estimates only. Bomiyo Bakery is not liable for delays caused by “Go-slow” (traffic), rain, fuel scarcity, or civil unrest.
  • Access: If your street or estate requires a gate pass or security clearance, you must arrange this in advance. If our rider is denied entry, the order will be returned to the bakery, and a re-delivery fee will apply.
  • Unclaimed Orders: If the rider cannot reach you after 10 minutes of arrival, the order will be tagged “Undeliverable.” Due to the perishable nature of bread, undeliverable orders are not eligible for a refund.

5. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds

  • No Returns: As a food-based business, we cannot accept returns for bread once it has left our facility.
  • Damaged Goods: If the bread is crushed or contaminated upon arrival, you must refuse the delivery or notify us via WhatsApp/Email within 2 hours with photo evidence.
  • Refund Processing: Valid refunds are issued as store credit or original payment reversals within 5–7 business days.

6. Subscription Services (Bomiyo Bread Club)

If you opt for a recurring bread subscription:

  • Billing: You will be billed automatically at the frequency selected.
  • Pausing: You may pause your subscription with 48 hours’ notice.
  • Cancellation: Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, but no refunds will be given for the current billing cycle already in production.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Bomiyo website, including the brand name, logo, “Bomiyo Bread” recipes, and photography, is the intellectual property of Bomiyo Bakery. Any unauthorized use of our branding for resale or marketing is strictly prohibited.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Bomiyo Bakery shall not be liable for any health issues arising from undisclosed allergies or improper storage of bread after delivery (e.g., leaving bread in a humid car or unventilated area).
